In a small nutshell the size of a gnats brain

EVAR
 
Patients of both sexes were eligible if they were aged at least 60 years and had an AAA measuring 5.5cm or greater in any plane according to a computed tomography (CT) scan.
 
EVAR 1
 Randomised to OPEN or EVAR
            30 mortality EVAR 1.7% and 4.7% for OPEN
            4 year mortality was 26% for EVAR and 29% for OPEN
            The 3% benefit was maintained, but this was not significant
            Cost 13K EVAR and 9K for open
 
EVAR 2
            All not suitable for open randomised to EVAR vs medical management
            30 day mortality for EVAR was 7%
At 4 years the mortality rate was 66% for EVAR and 69% for medical management
